I've already had a couple of comments of flickr asking if this is a pot leaf. No it is not...It is a Japanese maple leaf...my second favorite tree.

Sunday 57/365 year #2

I spent quite a bit of time outside today. I went downtown to buy a dress for my wedding shower and I ended up buying 3 dresses. Don't worry I'll have plenty of occasions to wear them all this summer. Tonight I went for a walk in the park. There was a lot of other folks out taking photos all the pretty things.

I'm listening to this song right now. I decided to play with my bathroom mirrors today...kinda random.

It has been a pretty random week...I had an encounter with a movie star, I got a migraine, I was told I was really old by an eight year old, I got a ton of wedding stuff done, and Josh got hit by a BMW while crossing the street (don't worry he's ok). Thank God it's Friday!

Moving Water 53/365 year #2

I was pretty jealous of Josh's photo from yesterday...I decided I wanted to try my hand at a moving water photo. Josh picked me up from work with my camera and my tripod so we could go on a little hike. As we were walking along he realized that he forgot the head to the tripod. I had to use a fence post and a little rock to stabilize my camera for this photo. This isn't nearly as pretty as Josh's photo but I'm sure happy with the outcome.

Josh and I spent most our day hanging out with our friend Matt getting our engagement photos taken. Tonight we went over to his place and grilled out on the roof of his apartment. As you can see we also took some time to practice our night photography.

What a Saturday...I spent the first 6 hours of my day renewing my CPR/AED training. I took an hour nap when I got home while watching a documentary on the History Channel about Hell...yeah talk about crazy dreams. I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning and cooking. I took this photo tonight and couldn't believe how frumpy I looked...ahhhhhh I'm getting old.

This photo cracks me up a little because I look so melancholy but I actually had a really amazing days. I was approached with two different things that could really help me advance in my career! I've been walking on sunshine all day!

I've never done a diptych for 365. I always felt it was against my rules because it's 2 photos. I guess I feel like breaking rules today.

Yep two crappy photos in a row. My only excuse is I had a very busy day today. I flew up to Seattle so I could hop on Josh's flight to Missoula Montana. We haven't spent much time together lately so I thought the best way to hang out with him was to go to work with him. I took this in the hotel before we went out for dinner.

Crappy photo night! 41/365 year #2

I couldn't sleep so I decided to upload my photo from yesterday. Yeah not the best photo ever but it's the only one I took so I have to just suck it up. I went out last night with some coworkers/friends to watch the Blazers beat the Lakers. It was so much fun..I probably had to much to drink and to much bar food...that's why I'm having trouble sleeping right now. Oh well I think it was worth it.

The big fat gray squirrel 40/365 year #2

This squirrel lives in the woods behind the community center where I work. He eats all the little crackers and crumbs the kids drop on the ground. This has caused him to put on a few pounds. The kids love this little critter...In away he has become the mascot of our after school program.

I'm not sure if this photo is what I was going for but I think It turned out kinda different from what I've been doing lately.

This quotation kind of captures my current state of mind. Josh and I have been so busy working and getting things ready for the wedding that we haven't had a whole ton of time for each other. We are so ready to get married and just be able to enjoy each other.

sorry more little flowers....I went for a long long walk today. I really didn't take a whole ton of photos. I was enjoying the weather and all the energy from the people in the city. I think everyone in the whole Portland metro area was out in their flip flops and tank tops.
